About the product, about Ledgestra as a company, and about accounting software as an industry.
Product FAQ
What is Ledgestra?
An accounting application: general ledger and financial reporting, payables and receivables, inventory, procurement, and sales, and company master data, all sharing one data model.
Can it handle more than one company?
Yes — Ledgestra supports multiple companies, and each one's data is kept completely separate from every other's, not just hidden behind navigation.
Does Ledgestra handle multi-currency?
Yes — supported currencies with per-company exchange rate configuration, used consistently across the ledger and financial reporting.
What tax and VAT support is there?
Tax codes each post to their own general ledger account, so VAT is tracked on its own line rather than buried inside revenue or expense.
Is there an approval workflow?
Yes — configurable approval workflows and routing rules, so records move through the right hands before they're finalized.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes — changes to sensitive records are logged with who, what, and when, scoped to the company that owns them.

Industry FAQ
What is accounting software supposed to solve?
Giving a finance team one real system of record for the books — invoices, payments, and reconciliation — instead of managing them through spreadsheets and exports that drift out of sync with each other.
How is Ledgestra different from a traditional ERP?
Ledgestra has its own general ledger, payables, receivables, inventory, and procurement — it isn't a bolt-on module. Operations and accounting are built on the same data model from the start, instead of an operations tool sitting alongside a separate accounting package.
Why does multi-entity support matter?
Most growing businesses end up managing more than one legal entity. Without proper separation built in, every additional entity means another spreadsheet, another risk of data bleeding across companies that should stay apart.
What regulatory considerations apply?
Data residency, access control, and audit requirements vary by region and industry — accounting software should support real authentication, role-based access, and a genuine audit trail as a baseline, not an add-on.
